A May to Remember: The Heart Behind Our Mommy & Me Collection
If you’ve been following the Harmony Hydration journey for a while, you know that everything we do here in Centralia is rooted in family. But if I’m being totally honest? This upcoming May is looking like it’s going to be less of a "gentle spring breeze" and more of a "full-blown celebration hurricane."
If you think your calendar is full, let me introduce you to the May-hem that is my family’s birthday list. We’ve got Heather’s daughter, my son, my stepdaughter, my stepson, and my husband’s other sister: all blowing out candles in the same month. It’s a marathon of cake, wrapping paper, and "Happy Birthday" choruses.
But this year, May is bringing something even more special than the usual chaos. We are officially preparing for two brand-new arrivals. My sister and my sister-in-law (who, fun fact, has been my best friend since we were literally in kindergarten!) are both due in May. We’re about to welcome a brand-new little lady and a handsome new little man into the fold, and my "Auntie" heart is already bursting.
Naturally, as the resident "product maker" of the family, my first thought wasn't just about cute onesies or nursery colors. It was: What am I going to put on that brand-new, precious baby skin?
That question is exactly how our new Mommy & Me Collection was born.
Clean Ingredients -- Family First -- Handcrafted Care
When you’re looking for natural skincare products, the stakes feel a lot higher when the person using them is a tiny human you haven't even met yet. I wanted to make sure my sisters had access to the cleanest, most gentle skincare possible for these babies. I didn’t want them worrying about synthetic fragrances, harsh preservatives, or ingredients they couldn't pronounce.
I wanted "Seed to Suds" transparency for the next generation of our family.
The "Why" Behind the Little Harmony Line
Newborn skin is incredibly delicate. It’s thinner, more absorbent, and much more prone to irritation than adult skin. When I started researching what was currently on the big-box store shelves, I was... let's just say, less than impressed. Even products labeled as "natural" often had fillers that didn't sit right with me.
So, I headed to my workspace to create something better. I wanted to focus on two essential needs for both mom and baby: protection and hydration.
Little Harmony Barrier Balm: The Tiny Skin Protector
The first product I knew we needed was a heavy hitter for those diaper changes and dry patches. Enter: Little Harmony Barrier Balm.
This balm was designed to be a literal shield. Whether it’s protecting a little one’s bum from moisture or helping Mom with those "new parent" dry hands (from the 400 times a day we wash them!), this balm is pure magic.
We use a blend of deeply nourishing butters and oils that stay on the skin to provide a protective layer without being greasy or "goopy." It’s a staple for any diaper bag, but it’s also fantastic for prenatal bellies that are starting to feel that "stretch."

Next up is the Little Harmony Gentle Lotion. This is the "post-bath, cozy-snuggle" part of the routine. I wanted a lotion that felt like a hug. It’s lightweight, fast-absorbing, and intentionally simple.
When you’re looking for natural skincare, especially for a "postnatal" routine, you want products that support the skin's natural healing process. For Moms, this lotion is a dream for tired skin. For babies, it’s the perfect way to lock in moisture after a warm bath.
Beyond the Kitchen: Herbs from Our Garden
If you’ve visited us at a vendor event or read the blog before, you might think I’m the one obsessed with the garden—but nope. That’s fully Heather and Nick’s territory. They’re the ones living the "Seed to Suds" life on the gardening + therapeutic horticulture side of Harmony Hydration.
Me? I’ll be honest: my ADHD does not come with a green thumb. I love the idea of a thriving garden, and I love what it means for our products, but Heather and Nick are the real MVPs making the herb magic happen.
This year they’ve been planning for even more chamomile and calendula. If there are two "superhero" herbs for babies, it’s these two.
Calendula: Known for its incredible ability to soothe angry or irritated skin.
Chamomile: Not just for tea! It’s wonderfully calming for the skin and the senses.
And of course, I have to give a shout-out to our "fertilizer team": the rabbits! They’ve been working overtime to make sure our soil is rich and ready to grow the botanicals that eventually end up in your (and our) skincare. It’s a full-circle process that makes me feel so much better about what we’re putting on our bodies.
Natural Skincare for the Whole Family
While I created this line with my nieces, nephews, and sisters in mind, the truth is that "gentle" is good for everyone. If you have sensitive skin, or if you’re just someone who prefers a "no-nonsense" approach to your routine, the Little Harmony products are going to be your new best friends.
